Land vehicles insurance or Motor Own Damage Insurance in short (motor vehicles, non-motor vehicles, trailers or caravans along with construction machines and wheeled tractors) covers all losses resulting from accidents, burns, thefts or attempts at theft, earthquakes, floods, acts committed by third parties with malicious or teasing intent. The word "kasko" in Turkish comes from the word of casco (accident) in Italian.
With the development of the insurance sector, the coverage offered by the companies in the Motor Own Damage insurance policies has been diversified, and additions to the standard insurance along with various Motor Own Damage insurance package products have begun to emerge.
Motor Vehicles Compulsory Third Party Liability Insurance
Motor Vehicles Compulsory Third Party Liability Insurance or shortly Motor TPL insurance policy provides liability coverage for the vehicle operator up to the coverage limit according to the Highway Traffic Law No. 2918 in case of bodily injury claims or material damage of a third party during the operation of motor vehicles, such as automobiles, trucks, motorcycles. The purpose of Motor TPL insurance is to cover part or all of the damage to the property or the life of the "other side" in the event of an accident, depending on the fault rate. Motor TPL insurance is compulsory pursuant to the Highway Law No. 2918, and uninsured vehicles shall be disqualified from traffic during traffic controls until they are insured and also fines are imposed. Physical (motorcar) examinations of uninsured vehicles are not carried out.
